Terms
Terms of use
TaxHours is an educational public-finance calculator. These terms explain the limits of the tool and how to cite or correct its outputs.
Educational estimate only
TaxHours is not tax, legal, financial, accounting, or public-policy advice. It is not a substitute for CRA, Revenu Québec, provincial or territorial tax authorities, or a qualified professional.
Source dates and assumptions
Results depend on simplified tax parameters, payroll rules, source-year spending data, and stated model assumptions. Tax, spending, fiscal, debt, and population source years may not align perfectly. TaxHours does not guarantee an exact liability, refund, or policy outcome.
Citation and corrections
When citing TaxHours, include the release version, constants package, methodology memo, access date, and a note that outputs are simplified estimates. Potential errors should be reported with the relevant source and expected value or wording.
