Where the numbers come from
Each group identifies the source year, source type, and why TaxHours uses it. Some source years differ, so the app labels those differences rather than treating all public datasets as interchangeable.
Public figures can be transformed or normalized for readability. Those cases are labelled as transformed, hybrid, residual, program-focused, or functional data where applicable.

Federal and provincial or territorial personal-income-tax parameters used by the 2026 educational estimate.

Federal categories are a program-focused view used to show proportional estimates against federal income tax.

Policy costing
The Policy Impact Simulator is a static, assumption-based education model. It is not an official government revenue forecast.

Population
Population values support per-capita federal-transfer and fiscal comparisons; they are not personal invoices.
