How calculator data moves
TaxHours is designed as a browser-run calculator. This page explains what happens when you enter values and what ordinary web hosting can still record.
In your browser
You enter annual income, province or territory, and hours per week. The app calculates estimated taxes, payroll contributions, working time, and proportional spending comparisons in your browser. No account is required and no tax file is created.
Saved local data
After you calculate, TaxHours can save your profile and committed result in local browser storage so you can return to the result, spending view, and Policy Impact Simulator without recalculating. You can clear that data at any time from the Privacy page.
Technical request data
Hosting, CDN, security, and deployment providers may process normal technical request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and operational errors. Calculator inputs are not intentionally placed in URLs or sent to a TaxHours server by the calculator.
